- Enhance finance controllership through development and maintenance of models, reports, and processes
- Conduct financial and strategic analysis to identify opportunities for cost optimization, process improvements, and revenue growth
- Lead individual projects from start to finish, including managing timelines and resolving conflicts
- Identify opportunities to improve, scale, or simplify finance tools, technology, and processes; drive automation initiatives
- Manage month end close processes, including preparation of commentary and analysis on key drivers of financial performance
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis as needed to support business needs and provide insights to senior management
Requirements
- 4+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field
- Experience with SQL for data mining and business intelligence
- MBA or CPA preferred
- Experience with large scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) preferred

Description
- Amazon Payments seeks a highly skilled and motivated Senior Finance Analyst to support the Amazon Payment Experience initiatives across the MENA, ZA, and TR regions.
- This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a fast paced, dynamic environment and is eager to take on a critical role in supporting Amazon's payments strategy.
Key job responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop and manage financial models to support short and long term financial planning for the Amazon Payment Experience initiatives in the MEATR region.
- Prepare variance analysis, financial metrics, and reporting to provide insights into business performance.
- Business Partnering: Partner with key business stakeholders to align financial and operational analyses, challenge assumptions, and drive data driven decision making.
- Controllership & Compliance: Enhance finance controllership through development and maintenance of models, reports, and processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external policies, including financial and tax related regulations.
- Strategic Analysis & Recommendations: Conduct financial and strategic analysis to identify opportunities for cost optimization, process improvements, and revenue growth.
- Project Management: Lead individual projects from start to finish, including managing timelines, auditing quality/progress, setting priorities, and resolving conflicts.
- Automation & Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve, scale, or simplify finance tools, technology, and processes.
- Drive automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
- Month End Close & Reporting: Manage month end close processes, including preparation of commentary and analysis on key drivers of financial performance.
- Provide risk and opportunity guidance and present findings to senior management.
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Perform ad hoc financial analysis as needed to support business needs and provide insights to senior management.
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree
- Experience with SQL for data mining and business intelligence
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience working with large scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
