About the Role
Cundall is seeking a Senior Facade Engineer for a large-scale hospitality project in Riyadh. The role is site-based and involves reviewing contractor shop drawings, calculations, material submittals, and conducting inspections to ensure compliance with design intent.

Responsibilities
- Review contractor shop drawings, calculations, material submittals, method statements and RFIs
- Undertake inspections of facade works, monitor mock ups, testing and installation quality
- Verify compliance with the design intent, specifications and approved details
- Coordinate closely with the client, project manager, main contractor, specialist facade subcontractors and Cundall's multidisciplinary teams
- Proactively identify technical and quality risks, resolve site issues, report progress and support the safe, timely delivery of the facade package
Requirements
- Educated to BEng degree level or equivalent in facade engineering, civil/structural engineering, architecture, architectural technology or a related discipline
- Strong practical experience in facade engineering and construction stage site delivery
- Sound technical understanding of facade systems including stick curtain walling, aluminium and glass systems, metal and stone cladding, windows & doors, skylights, waterproofing, and critical interfaces
- Excellent communication, clear technical reporting, practical problem solving, and ability to work confidently with contractors and multidisciplinary teams
- Proven site based facade engineering experience on major hospitality, mixed use or complex building projects, ideally in KSA or the wider Gulf region
- Experience reviewing facade shop drawings, calculations, material submissions, method statements, ITPs, mock ups and performance test documentation
- Ability to carry out site inspections, record and close observations, support RFI/NCR responses and track quality and compliance through installation
- Working knowledge of relevant KSA, GCC and international facade codes, standards and typical project specifications
- Able to work independently on site while collaborating effectively with clients, contractors, specialist subcontractors and multidisciplinary professionals

The Role
- This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Senior Facade Engineer to support the construction stage delivery of a large scale hospitality project in Riyadh.
- Based on site as part of our established engineering team, you will review contractor shop drawings, calculations, material submittals, method statements and RFIs, undertake inspections of facade works, monitor mock ups, testing and installation quality, and verify compliance with the design intent,
- You will coordinate closely with the client, project manager, main contractor, specialist facade subcontractors and Cundall's multidisciplinary teams, proactively identifying technical and quality risks, resolving site issues, reporting progress and supporting the safe, timely delivery of the facade
The Skills
- Educated to BEng degree level or equivalent in facade engineering, civil/structural engineering, architecture, architectural technology or a related discipline.
- Strong practical experience in facade engineering and construction stage site delivery.

- Excellent communication, clear technical reporting, practical problem solving, and the ability to work confidently with contractors and multidisciplinary teams are essential.
