About the Role
Cundall is seeking an experienced Associate Director with mechanical expertise to lead data centre design in Melbourne. You will manage a team, deliver mechanical designs for hyperscale projects, and nurture client relationships.

Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design and delivery of hyperscale and enterprise level data centres
- Develop mechanical system designs including HVAC, chilled water, direct to chip cooling, and ventilation
- Produce and review mechanical schematics, reports, specifications, and equipment layouts
- Manage and mentor a team of mechanical engineers
- Coordinate with other disciplines for integrated design solutions
- Act as primary client contact, building long term relationships
- Review and approve designs for compliance with standards and client specs
- Contribute to project management processes including fee tracking and programme delivery
- Provide strategic input on energy efficiency and sustainability measures
- Participate in site inspections, technical meetings, and commissioning activities
Requirements
- Chartered Engineer status
- Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
- Significant experience in consulting engineering, preferably in data centre sector
- Proven ability to manage multiple medium to large scale projects
- Experience producing schematic diagrams, specifications, and project reports

The Role
- Opportunity for experienced Associate with mechanical experience to join data centre team in Melbourne.

The Skills
- Chartered Engineer, degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
- Significant experience in consulting engineering, preferably in data centre sector.
- Proven ability to manage multiple medium to large scale projects and less senior engineers.
- Proven ability in producing schematic diagrams, specifications, project reports, site inspections, and detailed design.
