- Provide technical leadership and oversight for all facade engineering activities, ensuring adherence to industry standards, codes, and project specifications.
- Lead the development of innovative facade solutions, considering factors such as aesthetics, energy efficiency, and durability.
- Oversee the design, review, and approval of engineering deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Manage the facade engineering team, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely delivery of deliverables.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, construction teams, and client representatives to ensure seamless integration of facade systems.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Implement rigorous quality control procedures to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct regular quality audits and reviews to identify and address potential issues.
- Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the facade engineering team.
- Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, effectively communicating project status, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Represent Parsons at project meetings and presentations, demonstrating technical expertise and leadership skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in facade engineering
- Proven track record in managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget
- In depth knowledge of facade design standards, codes, and regulations, including AISC, AISI, and local codes
- Experience with structural analysis software and other advanced engineering tools
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
