Summary

  • Al Jazeera Media Network is looking for a Senior Executive to join the Commercial department and play a central role in growing the Network's advertising and sponsorship revenue.
  • You will manage and grow relationships with brands and media agencies across the region and internationally, develop sponsorship propositions, and convert briefs into commercial deals.
  • This role requires a commercially sharp operator who understands both agency and media owner perspectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue ownership: Generate and grow advertising and sponsorship revenue across the Network's portfolio.
  • Agency & client relationships: Build and maintain senior relationships with media agencies, trading desks, and direct clients.
  • Sponsorship development: Develop compelling sponsorship packages and integrated partnership propositions.
  • Proposals & pricing: Respond to briefs with tailored proposals; build pricing and rate card recommendations.
  • Campaign delivery: Manage campaigns end to end including deal memorialization, asset delivery, and performance reporting.
  • Cross functional collaboration: Coordinate with marketing, digital commercial, distribution, and editorial teams.
  • Market intelligence: Track competitor activity, agency movements, and advertising trends.
  • Pipeline & reporting: Maintain accurate pipeline records and revenue forecasts.

Experience Required

  • 6–10 years of experience in media sales, sponsorship, or commercial partnerships.
  • Media agency experience or demonstrable track record of selling to and negotiating with agencies at a senior level.
  • Proven success structuring and closing sponsorship deals.
  • Strong grasp of media trading fundamentals: CPM based pricing, audience measurement, programmatic vs. direct sales, cross platform packaging.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in English; Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, media, or a related field.
  • Arabic language fluency and experience in MENA media markets (preferred).
  • Experience with branded content, news or current affairs environments, and brand safety considerations (preferred).
  • Familiarity with YouTube and social platform monetization, addressable/CTV advertising, and digital campaign analytics (preferred).
  • Existing relationships with major agency holding groups and regional independents (preferred).
