- Prepare detailed cost estimates and cost plans for building projects
- Manage project budgets from concept through to completion
- Produce feasibility studies, cost reports, and value engineering recommendations
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
- Support procurement and tender evaluation processes
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and project teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved
- Provide strategic cost advice throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
- Around 15 years' experience in estimating and cost management
- Previous experience working as a Cost Consultant is essential, with recent consultancy experience strongly preferred
- Strong background delivering building projects
- Excellent understanding of cost planning, estimating, procurement, and commercial management
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline
