Senior Engineering Manager

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Define roles, hire, onboard, staff, and grow the new IT team.
• Own technical frameworks, standards, architecture, and design principles.
• Translate business needs into designs for applications, tooling, front ends, and integrations.
• Own the Snowflake data-platform build and integration patterns.
• Perform solution design, code reviews, and production coding on complex work.
• Lead delivery cadence and release management, including short-term delivery and long-term improvements.
• Coordinate QA with the shared Change & Upgrade engineering capability.
• Establish coding, testing, and deployment practices and contribute to IT strategy.

• Strong professional software development experience with production-grade delivery.
• Deep understanding of testing, coding, CI/CD, AI-assisted development, security, and architecture.

• Ability to build a collaborative culture and work across an international organization.

Technical skills

• Extensive .NET experience with C#, .NET 6+, ASP.NET Core, and Web APIs.
• Full-stack web architecture experience with REST, microservices or modular monoliths, and event-driven systems.
• Working knowledge of Angular, React, or a similar modern UI framework.
• Data-platform experience with data modelling, SQL, integrations, and pipelines; Snowflake is ideal.
• Azure experience with cloud-native design, CI/CD, observability, resilience, and scalability.
• Experience with API design, secure coding, performance optimization, distributed systems, SQL Server, NoSQL, or caching.
