Overview

  • One of the UAE’s fastest-growing AI businesses is scaling aggressively and looking to appoint a Senior Engineering Director to lead the next phase of growth across enterprise AI and large-scale platform engineering.
  • This is a high-impact leadership role focused on building and scaling mission-critical AI/data platforms used across enterprise, government, and complex large-scale environments.
  • You’ll work directly with executive engineering leadership while driving:
  • Engineering strategy & platform evolution
  • Architecture & distributed systems design
  • Cloud-native platform engineering
  • Large-scale backend & data-intensive systems
  • Technical delivery across multiple engineering squads
  • Mentoring and scaling high-performing engineering teams
  • The environment is heavily engineering-led, fast-moving, and deeply technical — ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex scalability, architecture, and platform challenges while still remaining close to technology and engineering decision-making.

Minimum Requirements And Must Have

  • Must specifically come from AI/ML and/or Data Platform / Cloud Data Platform Companies
  • (Will only consider candidates coming from Data Platfrom companies - minimum requirement)
  • Must come form Software development / Software engineering background/ past experience
  • Distributed/cloud-native systems
  • Tech environment includes:
  • Python \| Distributed Systems \| Cloud Platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) \| APIs \| SQL/NoSQL \| DevOps \| CI/CD \| AI-enabled Platforms \| Enterprise Architecture
