- Assist in design, review of shop drawings, SLD, technical submittal, planning, execution, and delivery of substation works
- Coordinate with engineering, power systems consultants, and utility providers to ensure substation integration aligns with data center electrical designs
- Ensure design and execution adheres to project specifications and local utility authority standards
- Interface with internal data center design, operations, and MEP teams
- Review project documentation including technical submittals, IFC/as built drawings, ITPs, inspection logs, and test results
- Participate in authority coordination for approvals, energization, and compliance inspections
- Identify and resolve technical issues in coordination with engineering consultants and contractor teams
- Support commissioning, testing, and handover phases to ensure readiness of electrical infrastructure

- Experience in high voltage substation design and execution (132/33KV, 132/11KV, etc.)
- Knowledge of utility regulations and standards (DEWA/SEWA/ADDC)
- Ability to coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and utility authorities
- Experience with data center power infrastructure and redundancy requirements

Overview
- The Senior Engineer will be responsible for supporting the design and execution of high voltage substations (132/33KV 132/11KV /115/20KV/ 110/21 KV etc) infrastructure specific to data center developments.
- The role focuses on timely and quality delivery of high reliability power infrastructure, ensuring strict compliance with utility regulations, design specifications, Tier standards (Uptime Institute), and data center operational requirements.
- This position involves close coordination with design consultants, contractors, local utility authorities, and internal data centre teams.
Responsibilities
- Assist in design, review of shop drawing, SLD, technical submittal, planning, execution, and delivery of substation works (e.g., 132/33/11 kV/115/20KV/ 110/21 KV) dedicated to mission critical data centre facilities.
- Coordinate with engineering, power systems consultants, and utility providers (Middle east, far east, US & Europe) to ensure substation integration aligns with data centre electrical designs and redundancy requirements (e.g., N 1).
- Ensure design and execution adheres to project specifications, DEWA/SEWA/ADDC standards and other local utility authorities in Middle east, far east US & Europe and, and quality benchmarks.
- Interface with internal data center design, operations, and MEP teams to align substation works with concurrent infrastructure developments.
- Review of project documentation including technical submittals, IFC/as built drawings, ITPs, inspection logs, and test results.
- Participate in authority coordination for approvals, energization, and compliance inspections.
