Your Role
Develop verification and validation testing for the next generation of a real-time operating system.
Research and evaluate tools and frameworks for certified and non-certified software components.
Design and implement system testing and verification and validation test development.
Daily Responsibilities
- Evaluate validation and verification tools for certification objectives and DO-178C and other standards.
- Assess tool qualification requirements for software tool qualification.
- Develop a scalable test framework supporting requirements-based testing, structural coverage analysis, and traceability.
- Implement automation for continuous integration and continuous regression testing.
- Develop system-level tests for RTOS functionality, performance, and timing behavior.
- Create and execute test cases traceable to system and software requirements.
- Collaborate with systems and software engineers to ensure complete requirements coverage.
- Improve the RTOS product and processes.
- Collaborate with global software engineering teams.
- Work in Agile Scrum teams and follow Agile processes.
Key Skills and Competencies
- BTech or MTech degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
- Five or more years of experience in software testing, verification, or validation.
- Good understanding of RTOS concepts such as scheduling, concurrency, determinism, and resource management.
- Experience with test automation and framework development using Python, C, or C++.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with DO-178C or DO-178B, DO-330, requirements-based testing, traceability, structural coverage, RTOS platforms, verification tools, or firmware bring-up is described as a plus.
