Role Overview

Core Responsibilities

• Evaluate verification and validation tools for certification objectives across DO-178C design assurance levels and other standards.
• Assess tool qualification requirements.
• Develop a scalable and maintainable test framework for certified and non-certified embedded OS testing workflows.
• Implement continuous integration and continuous regression testing automation.
• Develop system-level tests for RTOS functionality, performance, and timing behavior.
• Create and execute traceable V&V test cases.
• Collaborate with systems, software, architecture, and technical lead teams.
• Improve the RTOS product and engineering processes.
• Work with global software engineering teams in Agile Scrum processes.

Required Qualifications

• BTech, MTech, or equivalent technical degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in software testing, verification, or validation.
• Good understanding of RTOS scheduling, concurrency, determinism, and resource management.
• Proficiency in test automation and framework development using Python, C, or C++.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous regression testing.

Preferred Qualifications

• DO-178C or DO-178B lifecycle and verification experience is a plus.
• DO-330 tool qualification familiarity is a plus.
• Requirements-based testing, traceability, static analysis, model-based testing, or formal methods experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of structural coverage techniques such as MC/DC, branch, and statement coverage is a plus.
• Experience with RTOS platforms such as VxWorks, RTEMS, Zephyr, or FreeRTOS is a plus.
• Familiarity with VectorCAST, LDRA, Parasoft, Rapita, or equivalent tools is a plus.
• Firmware bring-up and boot-up experience is a plus.
