Senior Engineer II, Field Service

Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent military technical training.

Minimum of 5 years of field service, customer support, or semiconductor manufacturing experience involving complex capital equipment.

Strong troubleshooting skills with complex microprocessor-controlled electromechanical systems.

Ability to read and interpret electrical, electronic, electromechanical, pneumatic, and system schematics and drawings.

Experience performing preventative maintenance, installations, repairs, and system diagnostics.

Working knowledge of oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters (DVMs), and common diagnostic tools.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently with limited supervision and effectively in team environments.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

English language proficiency.

Ability to work in semiconductor cleanroom environments and travel up to 25–75% as business needs require.

Experience supporting semiconductor capital equipment in wafer fabrication environments.

Advanced knowledge of vacuum systems, closed-loop gas control systems, and electro-pneumatic controls.

Experience with RF-induced plasma technologies.

Familiarity with robotics, motion control systems, and microprocessor-based controllers.

Understanding of software fundamentals and semiconductor equipment control systems.

Experience handling or working around toxic and/or flammable gases and chemicals in semiconductor manufacturing environments.

Experience applying structured problem-solving methodologies and root-cause analysis techniques to complex equipment issues.

Proven ability to develop and present technical action plans to customers and internal stakeholders.

Strong customer-facing experience within semiconductor manufacturing environments.

Experience maintaining detailed service documentation and technical reports.

Demonstrated initiative and ability to proactively identify and resolve customer challenges.

Strong customer focus with a positive, solution-oriented attitude.

Experience collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, and customer support organizations.

Demonstrated technical leadership, mentoring capabilities, and the ability to drive resolution of complex customer escalations.
