Role Overview
Senior QA Engineer supporting the Train Control Office Suite team within Wabtec's Signaling and Systems business.
The role validates software quality, reliability, and safety through functional, integration, regression, and automation testing.
The engineer works with developers, QA leads, architects, product managers, and product owners throughout the software development life cycle.
Test Strategy and Design
- Identify quality risks, dependencies, coverage needs, and test effort early in feature development.
- Contribute to test strategies, risk-based coverage, test plans, entry and exit criteria, and requirements-to-test traceability.
- Create functional, regression, exploratory, edge-case, and boundary-condition test cases with required test data and evidence.
- Apply equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, decision tables, and BDD or Gherkin where applicable.
Automation and CI/CD
- Develop and maintain automated tests for UI, API, and integration layers using the team's framework.
- Implement maintainable smoke, regression, acceptance, and reusable automation utilities.
- Analyze CI/CD automation failures, improve stability, reduce flaky tests, and contribute framework improvements.
