- Maintain virtual private networks, firewalls, email gateway security and Telephony
- Supervise the installation of new hardware equipment
- Implement new changes solely or with the help of service delivery
- Maintain and own configuration of various network devices and manage modifications as per change management policy
- Perform device configuration hardening as per security team requirements and vendors best practices
- Keep up to date documentation about current infrastructure design, assets and topology
- Monitor capacity sizing changes/violations and initiate needed actions
- Derive configurations from low high level designs and change requests
- Conduct Acceptance Testing post project implementation
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Computer/IT Network Engineering or Computer Science
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in the field
- Working knowledge and/or accreditation in Networking (CCIE, CCNP) and IT Operations Management (ITIL Foundation)
- Understanding in Routing and Switching (Cisco, Juniper, HP)
- Understanding in Network Security (L2/L3), Encryption, Firewalls & IPS/IDS (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Barracuda, Forcepoint)
- Understanding in Network Access Control (Aruba & Cisco), Wireless Infrastructure, Telephony/VoIP Infrastructure
- Understanding in VPN Technologies (IPSEC, MPLS, SSL, etc.)
- Understanding in Cloud networking technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Ability to work in a highly pressurized but fulfilling environment
- Proven collaboration skills, strong written/oral English communication/documentation/reporting skills
- Strong problem diagnosis and troubleshooting skills
- Previous experience in network administration or operations

Overview
- Space42 (ADX: SPACE42) is a UAE based AI powered SpaceTech company that integrates satellite communications, geospatial analytics and artificial intelligence capabilities.
- The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the day to day management and maintenance of network devices, ensuring high availability of network operations, maintaining integrity of configuration baselines, meeting SLAs and controlling operational incidents.
Projects
- Derive configurations from low high level designs and change requests.
- Responsible for any project operational requirements.
- Proactively engage with the Project Management Office / Design Authority and External Suppliers / Vendors to ensure timely delivery of allocated projects within specified timelines and budgets.
- Conduct Acceptance Testing post project implementation.
Network Operations
- Maintaining LAN/WAN and Telephony infrastructure/devices.
- Maintaining virtual private networks, firewalls, email gateway security and Telephony.

Additional Requirements
- Working knowledge and/or accreditation in Networking (CCIE, CCNP, CCNA) and IT Operations Management (ITIL Foundation).
- Ability to work in a highly pressurized but fulfilling environment.
- Proven collaboration skills, strong written/oral English communication / documentation/ reporting skills, and the ability to influence at a management level.
- Strong problem diagnosis and troubleshooting skills.
- Previous experience in network administration or operations.
- A willingness to work out of hours as required.
