- Track project costs to ensure adherence to budget

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in procurement engineering for construction projects with focus on electrical works
- Proven experience working on large scale retail commercial, healthcare, residential and mixed use projects
- Strong background in sourcing electrical equipment, power distribution systems, low voltage systems, vendor management, and supply chain coordination
- Proficiency in English is mandatory
- Arabic proficiency is preferred
- Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management (CIPS, CPSM) preferred

Position Overview
- A highly reputable construction and contracting company is seeking a highly experienced and results driven Procurement Engineer specializing in Electrical works to manage the procurement, sourcing, and supply chain activities for large scale retail commercial, healthcare, residential and mixed use p
- The successful candidate will be responsible for procuring materials, equipment, and services for electrical construction activities, ensuring timely delivery, cost optimization, and compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare tender documentation for inviting bids from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers in accordance with project needs, conducting a detailed analysis of techno commercial proposals.
- Lead contract negotiations and allocate work to contractors and subcontractors to ensure optimal workflow and project continuity.
- Prepare, Review & issuance of the Contracts and Purchase orders incorporating mutually agreed terms & conditions.
- Coordinate and track the approval process for material submittals and shop drawings, ensuring timely and efficient approvals.
- Monitor subcontractor progress on site in collaboration with the site team.
- Coordinate with suppliers to monitor deliveries and ensure timely material supply.
- Facilitate the processing of contractor invoices, payment certificates, and ensure the timely closure of contracts.
- Update and follow up project Status by using Procore /project Management Software.
- Track project costs to ensure adherence to budget and successful project delivery.
- Conduct studies on cost saving and energy efficient measures, implementing modifications to achieve significant budget reductions.
- Complete final order reconciliation and Close purchase orders.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
- Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management is an advantage.
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in procurement engineering for construction projects with focus on electrical works.
- Proven experience working on large scale retail commercial, healthcare, residential and mixed use projects.
- Strong background in sourcing electrical equipment, power distribution systems, low voltage systems, vendor management, and supply chain coordination for electrical construction.
- CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) certification preferred.
- CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory.
- Arabic proficiency is preferred.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical engineering drawings, single line diagrams, panel schedules, and specifications.
