Responsibilities
- Review and validate electrical and I&A designs prepared by consultants, licensors, and EPC partners
- Coordinate MV/LV distribution systems, transformers, MCCs, standby power systems, lighting, earthing, and lightning protection systems
- Support integration of PLC/SCADA systems, instrumentation, field devices, and automation philosophies
- Prepare and review single line diagrams, load lists, layouts, technical specifications, and BOQs
- Develop CAPEX estimates, benchmark supplier costs, and contribute to value engineering initiatives
- Participate in technical and commercial evaluations of suppliers and subcontractors
- Coordinate with process, mechanical, civil, and construction teams to ensure efficient project delivery
- Provide technical support during execution phases including shop drawing reviews and site coordination
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in environmental infrastructure projects, preferably water or wastewater treatment
- Middle East experience is mandatory
- Strong experience in electrical and automation systems within water or wastewater treatment facilities
- Knowledge of PLC/SCADA architectures, instrumentation, and process control systems
- Experience in tendering, BOQ preparation, supplier management, and cost estimation
- Fluent English is required

Job Description
- Six Construct, a subsidiary of the BESIX Group, is the largest Belgian construction company operating in the Middle East.
- This role supports BESIX Environment’s activities with a primary focus on sewage treatment plants and water infrastructure projects.
- The Senior Electrical & I&A Engineer will ensure technically compliant, reliable, and cost efficient electrical and automation solutions during tendering, design, and project development stages.
What You’ll Drive
- Review and validate electrical and I&A designs prepared by consultants, licensors, and EPC partners.
- Coordinate MV/LV distribution systems, transformers, MCCs, standby power systems, lighting, earthing, and lightning protection systems.
- Support integration of PLC/SCADA systems, instrumentation, field devices, and automation philosophies used in sewage treatment plants.
- Prepare and review single line diagrams, load lists, layouts, technical specifications, and BOQs.
- Develop CAPEX estimates, benchmark supplier costs, and contribute to value engineering initiatives.
- Participate in technical and commercial evaluations of suppliers and subcontractors.

Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Additional knowledge or diploma related to Automation / Instrumentation & Control is preferred.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in environmental infrastructure projects, preferably water or wastewater treatment.
- Middle East experience is mandatory.
- European supplier or project exposure is preferred.
- Strong background in sewage treatment plant systems and operations.
- Proven experience in tendering, BOQ preparation, and supplier interaction.
- Fluent English is required. Hindi or Arabic is a plus.
