- Perform design development, design reviews, and analysis for electrical works including LV, MV, HV networks, substations, pump stations, and ELV systems.
- Prepare general arrangements, layouts, plans, single line diagrams, protection diagrams, and schematic diagrams.
- Research and prepare design options and documentation, perform value engineering studies.
- Review drawings, shop drawings, supplier drawings, and technical submittals.
- Prepare engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.
- Interface with other engineering disciplines and departments.
- Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
- Perform technical tender analyses and prepare tender evaluation reports.
- Provide technical guidance to BIM modelers, CAD designers, drafters, and lower level engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 10 years of related experience with progressively increasing responsibility
- At least 3 years as a Design Engineer with supervision of design resources
- Proficiency in CAD and engineering design software (ETAP, SINCAL, CYME, DIALux or similar)
- Experience with TAQA D, ADDC, TRANSCO, DEWA specifications
- Good spoken and written English

Job Description
- Parsons is looking for an experienced and forward thinking Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be part of a mega infrastructure project, shaping the future of a rapidly transforming region.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform design development, design reviews, and analysis and calculations related to electrical works such as low voltage distribution networks, medium voltage and high voltage networks, substations, pump stations, water and wastewater treatment plants, industrial plant electrification, standby powe
- Prepare general arrangements, layouts, and plans, including single line diagrams, protection diagrams, and schematic diagrams.
- Research and prepare design options and documentation.
- Perform value engineering studies.
- Review drawings.
- Extract engineering information from CAD drawings.
- Prepare engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.
- Frequently interface with other engineering disciplines and other departments.
- Review shop drawings, supplier drawings, and technical submittals.
- Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
- Perform technical tender analyses and prepare tender evaluation reports.
- Provide technical guidance to BIM modelers, CAD designers, drafters, and lower level engineers working on the same project.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a major university. Professional Engineer registration may be required.
- 10 years of related experience with progressively increasing responsibility, with infrastructure project experience within the Kingdom.
- At least 3 years as a Design Engineer with some responsibility for supervision of design resources.
- Fluent in international design practices and standards such as IEC, BS, ANSI, etc.
- Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other engineering design software packages such as ETAP, SINCAL, CYME, DIALux or similar.
- Must have worked on projects with TAQA D. May have also worked with ADDC/TAQA D, TRANSCO, DEWA, etc., and is well versed with their specifications and systems.
- Extensive and knowledgeable computer skills (e.g., AutoCAD) and experience with BIM.
- Ability to implement a Quality Management System effectively on projects.
- Good spoken and written English is essential.
