Responsibilities
- Supervise and administer electrical engineering activities for infrastructure projects
- Review engineering details, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation
- Ensure Design Engineer’s intent is properly implemented by the Contractor and resolve on site electrical design issues
- Coordinate with Design Engineers regarding required design modifications and technical clarifications
- Review and recommend approval of electrical materials and equipment
- Support Resident Engineer and Assistant Resident Engineer in issuing technical correspondence
- Monitor site activities and identify non conforming works through Non Conformance Reports (NCRs)
- Attend progress review meetings, technical coordination meetings, and stakeholder discussions
- Assist in resolving discrepancies between design documents and site conditions
- Coordinate testing and commissioning activities for electrical systems
- Participate in snagging, inspections, project close out activities, and final handover
- Prepare daily and weekly site reports highlighting progress, risks, technical issues, and corrective actions
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university
- Minimum 12 years of professional experience, including substantial UAE experience in consultancy supervision of infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of Dubai authority requirements including DEWA, RTA, and Dubai Municipality
- Membership of a recognized professional engineering institution is desirable

Job Summary
- Khatib & Alami is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Consultancy Supervision Team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating electrical works on major infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and administer electrical engineering activities for infrastructure projects in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and applicable authority regulations.
- Review engineering details, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation related to electrical works.
- Ensure that the Design Engineer’s intent is properly implemented by the Contractor and resolve any on site electrical design issues.
- Coordinate with Design Engineers regarding required design modifications and technical clarifications.
- Review and recommend approval of electrical materials and equipment to ensure compliance with project specifications and approved submittals.
- Support the Resident Engineer (RE) and Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE) in issuing technical correspondence and resolving construction related matters.
- Monitor site activities and identify non conforming works through the issuance and follow up of Non Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Attend progress review meetings, technical coordination meetings, and stakeholder discussions to facilitate project delivery.
- Assist in resolving discrepancies between design documents and site conditions.
- Monitor construction progress and provide technical recommendations to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
- Coordinate testing and commissioning activities for electrical systems and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Participate in snagging, inspections, project close out activities, and final handover.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
- Minimum 12 years of professional experience, including substantial UAE experience in consultancy supervision of infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of Dubai authority requirements, including DEWA, RTA, Dubai Municipality, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Membership of a recognized professional engineering institution is desirable.
