- Hybrid position with three days per week in the Downtown Chicago office and two days working remotely.
Role Overview
Work in a project team environment with engineers and designers on nuclear power plant electrical systems.
Support the design, modification, and analysis of new and existing nuclear power plant systems.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review engineering design change packages for installing, replacing, or upgrading plant equipment.
- Prepare and review detailed engineering calculations supporting design change packages.
- Perform AC and DC power studies, short-circuit analysis, cable ampacity, voltage-drop, breaker coordination, and motor-starting calculations.
- Support protective relay settings and long-term plant equipment reliability.
Requirements
- Experience preparing and reviewing engineering design change packages for nuclear power plant electrical systems.
- Ability to prepare and review detailed electrical engineering calculations supporting design changes.
- Ability to work in a project team environment with engineers and designers.
