Overview
- Parsons is recruiting a highly experienced Senior Design Manager to join their team.
- The role reports to the Director of Infrastructure Planning & Design and provides strategic, technical, and managerial leadership for multi disciplinary design delivery across major programs.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead strategic, technical, and managerial oversight for the delivery of multi disciplinary design across major programs, districts, precincts, and infrastructure asset portfolios.
- Provide end to end accountability for design governance, technical assurance, consultant performance, and integrated design delivery across all stages.
- Oversee design development from Strategic Planning and Concept Design through Schematic Design, Detailed Design, and Construction Documentation.
- Act as a senior technical lead within the team, influencing design strategy, delivery methodologies, standards application, and engineering best practices.
- Ensure alignment between Development, Projects, and other Support Functions and stakeholder requirements.
- Lead and direct multi disciplinary consultants and design teams, establishing technical priorities, quality expectations, and coordinated delivery approaches.
- Review, challenge, and endorse technical submissions and consultant deliverables to support client governance and approval processes.
- Define design delivery strategies, sequencing, phasing, and resource planning at program and portfolio level.
- Manage complex design interfaces across disciplines, infrastructure systems, assets, packages, and delivery teams.
- Support value engineering, optimisation initiatives, and design efficiency improvements while maintaining technical integrity.
