Responsibilities
- Provide management and direction to design consultants to ensure coordination and consistency between design and construction phases
- Oversee task order execution for Design Management Scope of Works under the framework agreement
- Manage design consultants in fulfilling contractual obligations in relation to scope and on time deliverables
- Identify and record scope changes in accordance with the change management plan
- Lead and record daily/weekly design progress and engineering progress meetings with design consultants and client
- Schedule and actively participate in value engineering and constructability reviews
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on task order progress, opportunities and blockers
- Manage design risks by updating the risk register weekly, liaising with design consultants and client to develop mitigation measures
- Support the Procurement Team with preparation of RFP and ITT procurement packages
- Work closely with Senior Project Manager and Commercial and Procurement Team to resolve resource, quality, schedule or productivity issues
- Support Commercial Manager with evaluation of consultant variations, claims and extension of time claims
- Actively participate in Continuous Quality Improvement by reviewing processes, arranging lessons learnt and making improvement recommendations
Requirements
- Experience in design management for hospitality or similar projects
- Ability to provide technical direction to a team of design personnel
- Experience managing design consultants and ensuring coordination between design and construction phases
- Strong understanding of project schedules, budgets, and contractual obligations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills

Job Overview
- Parsons Corporation is looking for a Senior Design Manager to join their team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
- The role involves providing technical direction to a team of design personnel engaged in all phases of a Hospitality project.
- Responsible for technical excellence of design tasks and analyses, and for on schedule completion within or below budget.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provides management and direction to the design consultants to ensure coordination and consistency between design and construction phases.
- Oversees task order execution for Design Management Scope of Works under the framework agreement.
- Manage the design consultants in fulfilling its contractual obligations in relation to scope and on time deliverables.

- Support the Procurement Team with the preparation of requests for proposal (RFP) and invitation to tenderers (ITT) procurement packages.
- Work closely with the Senior Project Manager and Commercial and Procurement Team to resolve any existing or anticipated problems related to resources, quality of work, schedule performance or productivity.
- Support Commercial Manager with evaluation of consultants variations, claims and extension of time claims.
- Actively participate in and champion the Continuous Quality Improvement by reviewing processes efficiency, arranging regular lessons learnt and making improvement recommendations.
