Role Overview
The Senior Design Manager leads architectural design delivery across a range of asset types and complex built-environment projects.
The role provides strategic oversight, design leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve effective, imaginative, and high-quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Steer architectural design projects across various asset types and oversee a dedicated design team.
- Ensure design work aligns with project objectives, quality standards, and wider program requirements.
- Facilitate communication among stakeholders throughout the design process.
- Apply strategic design leadership to deliver imaginative and effective solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field is required.
- At least 15 years of architectural design management experience, including complex projects from inception to completion, is required.
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite is required.
- Experience with stage-gate design reviews, BIM coordination workflows, value engineering, and safety-in-design practices is required.
- Experience managing client-side leadership, multidisciplinary teams, external consultants, and contractors is required.
- A registered architect license and professional proficiency in English are required.
- Familiarity with sustainability principles in design and construction is required.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in mixed-use developments is a plus.
- PMP certification and LEED accreditation are desirable.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines are expected.
