Database Architecture, Design & Development
Design relational and distributed database schemas for scalability, performance, and normalisation.
Develop and maintain SQL queries, PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, views, triggers, and functions.
Define and enforce data modelling standards.
S upport both OLTP and OLAP environments.
Performance Tuning & Optimization
Perform advanced query tuning, indexing strategies, and plan analysis
Identify and resolve bottlenecks and slow queries
Optimize large-volume transactions and reporting performance across databases
Automate monitoring and alerting of performance issues
Database Administration and Environment Management
Manage deployments, patches, backups, restores, and upgrades of Oracle/MySQL environments
Implement high-availability and failover solutions
Ensure data security, access controls, and audit readiness
Design strategies for replication and data migration
Backend and Full-Stack Integration
Work with backend developers (Python, Java) to integrate database logic into applications
Design and consume RESTful APIs to facilitate secure data exchange
Participate in full-stack development with occasional involvement in frontend tasks (HTML/CSS/JS)
