Senior Data Scientist / Forward Deployed AI Engineer — Abu Dhabi, On-site

Role overview

Initial data science phase

• Translate operational challenges into prediction, forecasting, detection, segmentation, and optimization problems.
• Develop models using gradient boosting, clustering, time-series analysis, anomaly detection, and optimization.
• Explore data quality, missing values, outliers, leakage, bias, and operational constraints.
• Design baselines, validation strategies, back-testing approaches, and performance metrics.
• Package models through APIs and containerized services and implement monitoring, versioning, and retraining.
• Explain model behavior, assumptions, limitations, and trade-offs to stakeholders.

Forward deployed AI phase

• Translate stakeholder business challenges into technical requirements.
• Build production-grade agentic AI applications with Python.
• Develop multi-step AI workflows with tool orchestration, structured outputs, exception handling, and human oversight.
• Implement production RAG pipelines, retrieval optimization, source traceability, and evaluation workflows.
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems using APIs, MCP, webhooks, messaging, and event-driven components.
• Own delivery from discovery and technical design through production improvement, including quality, reliability, security, latency, and cost.

Required experience

• At least 5 years of relevant data science, machine learning, AI, or software engineering experience.
• Strong production-level Python skills and experience delivering solutions beyond proof of concept.
• Strong theoretical and practical understanding of fundamental data science and machine learning methods.
• Experience with predictive modeling, clustering, time-series analysis, detection, forecasting, or optimization.
• Strong SQL and experience with Pandas or Polars.
• Experience with validation, back-testing, experimentation, and model-performance measurement.
• Experience deploying models or Python services with APIs, containers, and public-cloud environments.
• Knowledge of MLOps, monitoring, versioning, retraining, CI/CD, logging, and production troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with LLM applications, RAG, AI agents, or agentic workflow development.
• Fluent English, strong stakeholder communication, independent working ability, and readiness for full-time onsite work in Abu Dhabi.

Technical environment

• Python, SQL, Pandas, and Polars.
• Gradient boosting, clustering, time series, prediction, detection, forecasting, and optimization.
• LLMs, RAG, AI agents, MCP, and agent orchestration.
• REST APIs, webhooks, messaging, and enterprise integrations.
• Docker, cloud services, CI/CD, monitoring, MLOps, data visualization, analytical reporting, and model evaluation.

Additional advantages

• Experience in aviation, transportation, logistics, operational planning, routing, or resource optimization.
• Practical reinforcement learning experience.
• Experience developing enterprise AI agents and multi-agent workflows.
• Experience with Voice AI, workflow automation, or CRM integrations.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Java, or C#.

Work model and relocation

• The role is full-time and onsite in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
• Planned support includes a UAE employment visa, medical insurance, flights, apartment-search assistance, and local arrival support, subject to the final written offer.
• Employees receive 30 days of paid annual leave per year.
• After the three-month probation period, employees may receive up to 90 days of sick leave per year under the stated pay schedule.
