Role Summary
The Senior Data Engineer designs and owns scalable data pipelines and platform solutions that support reporting, analytics, and operational processes. This role leads delivery for complex initiatives, improves data quality and reliability, works independently through ambiguity, and mentors junior engineers while partnering closely with stakeholders.
Core Skills
- Strong expertise in data querying, coding, data modeling, orchestration, and performance optimization
- Deep understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and scalable data architecture
- Experience designing reliable and maintainable data pipelines for reporting, analytics, and operational use cases
- Strong understanding of data quality, observability, troubleshooting, and production support
- Ability to balance technical decisions across scalability, reliability, maintainability, and cost efficiency
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities
- Design and own scalable data pipelines and related platform components
- Lead development and delivery of complex data engineering initiatives from design through production
- Improve data quality, reliability, observability, and operational readiness across owned systems
- Design and implement maintainable data models and processing logic aligned to business needs
