- Experience stabilizing a vendor-built or handed-over platform.
- Arabic working proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Own production data engineering pipelines and at least one data platform or system end to end.
- Design and maintain data transformation, modeling, orchestration, ingestion, and loading processes.
- Work with query engines, storage systems, table formats, programming languages, and databases.
- Implement data processing using non-relational databases, semi-structured data, and distributed processing technologies.
- Support scripting, Linux-based operations, connectivity, reliability, security, governance, and secrets management.
- Build or maintain API integrations and support platform deployment and DevOps activities.
- Operate, troubleshoot, stabilize, and support production data platforms.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of hands-on data engineering experience with ownership of production pipelines.
- Ownership of at least one platform or system end to end.
- Demonstrated capability in data transformation, modeling, orchestration, ingestion, and loading.
- Experience with non-relational or NoSQL databases beyond basic exposure.
- Experience with distributed processing, semi-structured data, scripting, Linux, and connectivity.
- Knowledge of reliability patterns, security, governance, secrets, APIs, integrations, deployment, and DevOps.
- Experience operating and troubleshooting production data platforms.
- Experience with Nessie or other data catalog versioning and Iceberg or Delta internals.
- Experience with Apache Kafka or equivalent event streaming and streaming ingestion patterns.
- Experience with metadata management, data lineage, or audit framework design.
- Experience with iPaaS, OAuth2, or API-key authentication models.
- Arabic working proficiency.
