Role Overview
Seeking an experienced Data Analyst with data analytics, data management, and business intelligence experience.
The role requires hands-on experience with SAP BW or SAP ECC, Databricks, SQL, and reporting or visualization tools.
Responsibilities
- Understand SAP BW and SAP ECC data structures, tables, and data flows.
- Analyze and extract data from SAP and other enterprise data sources.
- Trace data through data platforms to reporting and analytics layers.
- Develop SQL queries for extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis.
- Use Databricks for data processing, transformation, analysis, and exploration.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Work with Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
- Perform data profiling, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and quality checks.
- Investigate data issues across SAP sources, pipelines, and reporting outputs.
- Collaborate with business, SAP, data engineering, and technology teams.
- Translate business requirements into analytical solutions and BI deliverables.
- Document data sources, transformation logic, data flows, reports, and dashboards.
Requirements
- Experience as a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, or data analytics professional.
- Hands-on experience with SAP BW or SAP ECC is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of SAP data structures, tables, extraction, and data flows.
- Good hands-on experience with Databricks.
- Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, CTEs, subqueries, window functions, and transformations, are mandatory.
- Hands-on experience with at least one of Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory and/or Azure Databricks.
- Strong understanding of data analysis, transformation, data quality, and ETL/ELT concepts.
Preferred Skills
- Programming experience with Python or R.
- SAP BW data modeling experience, including InfoProviders, ADSOs, or Composite Providers.
- Experience with SAP ECC business data in Finance, Sales, Procurement, or Supply Chain.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and dimensional data modeling.
- Experience tracing SAP data from source systems through BI reporting layers.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
