Role Overview
Analyze data, data flows, and business intelligence outputs using SAP systems, Databricks, SQL, and reporting tools.
Provide actionable business insights through data analysis, reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions.
Data Analysis and Engineering
- Work hands-on with SAP BW and/or SAP ECC to understand data structures, tables, and data flows.
- Analyze and extract data from SAP BW/ECC and other enterprise data sources.
- Trace data from SAP source systems through data platforms to reporting and analytics layers.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis.
- Use Databricks for data processing, transformation, analysis, and data exploration.
Reporting and Data Quality
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Work with Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks in the data integration and analytics environment.
- Perform data profiling, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and data quality checks.
- Investigate data issues by tracing SAP data through pipelines to reporting outputs.
Stakeholder and Documentation Work
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, SAP teams, data engineers, and technology teams to understand data requirements.
- Translate business requirements into data analysis, reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions.
- Support data mapping, source-to-target analysis, and documentation of data flows.
- Prepare documentation for data sources, transformation logic, reports, and dashboards.
- Use Python or R for data analysis and automation where required.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, or data analytics professional.
- Hands-on experience with SAP BW or SAP ECC.
- Strong understanding of SAP data structures, tables, data extraction, and data flows.
- Good hands-on experience with Databricks.
- Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, CTEs, subqueries, window functions, and data transformations.
- Experience with at least one of Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory and/or Azure Databricks.
- Strong understanding of data analysis, data transformation, data quality, and ETL/ELT concepts.
Good to Have
- Programming experience with Python or R.
- Experience with SAP BW data modelling, InfoProviders, ADSOs, Composite Providers, or related BW concepts.
- Experience with SAP ECC modules and business data in Finance, Sales, Procurement, or Supply Chain.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and dimensional data modelling.
- Experience tracing SAP data from source systems through data platforms to BI or reporting layers.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
