Role Overview
Manage CNC equipment from setup through operation to produce parts and tools from metal and plastic.
The role covers CNC machining, production quality, equipment oversight, and team coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor machinery, inspect finished products, and lead test runs.
- Set up and manage CNC machines for drilling, grinding, milling, and different production jobs.
- Translate engineering drawings and requirements into production dimensions and communicate them to the CNC team.
- Oversee machine operation and make adjustments to improve results.
- Load and unload raw materials and equipment.
- Maintain production and quality logs and detailed equipment and procedure records.
- Carry out daily machine maintenance and cleaning.
- Approve and inspect finished products against client expectations.
- Ensure compliance with quality and safety guidelines and report logistical production issues.
- Conduct regular CNC machine assessments.
Qualifications and Skills
- Trade school accreditation, high school diploma, or an equivalent qualification is required.
- An engineering certificate or diploma is an advantage.
- Understanding of GD&T and engineering drawing interpretation is required.
