Role Overview
The Lead Technician provides technical direction and supports quality compliance and continuous improvement on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily work for technicians handling turbine blades, housings, ducts, liners, and support structures.
- Provide hands-on support for engine hardware assembly, disassembly, machining, and inspection.
- Train and mentor junior technicians on best practices, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures.
- Complete inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and build logs.
- Support root cause investigations and corrective actions for defects and process deviations.
- Maintain a safe, clean workplace under OSHA, company EHS, and hazardous material handling requirements.
- Work with engineering and quality teams to improve processes.
- Help develop and revise work instructions and tooling to improve safety, quality, and throughput.
Qualifications and Skills
- A degree or certification in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Precision, or Aerospace Engineering is required.
- The role requires deep knowledge of precision machining, metalworking practices, and engine hardware handling.
Experience
- At least five years of hands-on experience with precision metallic aerospace or industrial engine components is required.
