Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant subject is required.
  • At least 10 years of cumulative experience with drainage networks is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing contractors and leading a team is required.
  • Experience in a multidisciplinary organization, preferably in the Middle East, is preferred.
  • Chartered membership in a relevant discipline such as engineering is advantageous.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge and experience in contract management are required.
  • Knowledge of quality, health and safety, and environment policies, procedures, and regulations is required.
  • The role requires the ability to deliver and support change.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage framework contractor maintenance, cleaning, and RRRU activities for foul water, SGW, and TW systems.
  • Direct team inspections and supervision activities to verify contractor compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Review preventive maintenance and repair schedules and provide inputs to reduce service downtime.
  • Advise contractors on initiatives to reduce maintenance time and cost while sustaining system availability.
  • Investigate customer enquiries, breakdowns, and flooding events, including root cause analysis and reporting.
  • Ensure incidents and emergencies are attended to and resolved by framework contractors.
  • Review tender documents for capital maintenance works.
  • Lead the project lifecycle for new RRRU works based on catchment requirements.
  • Support engineers on commercial matters and risks related to framework contracts.
