Job Purpose
Conduct business development and partnership activities to foster WTCO’s development and maximize financial gains.
Support WTCO’s overall objectives through investor, partnership, market, and investment activities.
Business Development and Commercial Strategy
- Implement and evaluate commercial strategies and frameworks for designated markets to attract investors and partners.
- Develop business cases for regulated and unregulated businesses in coordination with business units and stakeholders.
- Execute commercial strategies, value propositions, and frameworks for business opportunity promotion and investment execution.
- Implement tools, templates, and standards for stakeholder management at portfolio, program, and project levels.
Market and Investment Analysis
- Research financial statements, economic data, market trends, innovation trends, and relevant start-ups connected to WTCO’s mandate.
- Analyze water-sector business and market trends and lead the evaluation and selection of business development opportunities.
- Review analytical models and tools used to address identified business challenges.
- Evaluate existing and prospective investments, capital markets, and related investment topics using quantitative and qualitative perspectives.
Investor and Partnership Development
- Identify local advantages and tangible and intangible factors that can attract national and international investors and partners.
- Source investors and partnership opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, outbound calls and emails, and investor visits.
- Build and maintain professional networks and relationships across the water sector.
- Maintain communication with investees for risk monitoring, follow-on investments, and technical advisory support.
Transactions and Reporting
- Collaborate on consortiums, joint ventures, and other business opportunities with local and international investors in line with regulations and bylaws.
- Assess mergers and acquisitions opportunities and execute major investment decisions aligned with WTCO strategy.
- Participate in events and activities that raise WTCO’s global profile among international business investors.
- Provide input for reports on operations, activities, and achievements for reporting and decision-making.
Education Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a relevant field.
Stakeholders
Internal stakeholders include all departments.
External stakeholders include consultants, advisors, government authorities and entities, investors, and partners.
