Role overview

Operational accountabilities

• Participate in daily shift scheduling based on demand forecasts, system capacity, shutdown schedules, water quantities, and planned interruptions.
• Monitor pipelines, analyze capacity gaps, and help allocate internal teams or external parties to shifts.
• Investigate encroachments, shutdowns, and performance variances and support corrective action plans.
• Coordinate between the Central Control Room and Local Control Room to maintain efficient operations.
• Consolidate operation, accident, and shutdown reports and analyze schedule efficiency and performance.
• Assess water quality, cooling systems, and pump oil system performance to identify quality and efficiency gaps.
• Compare forecast consumption with actual consumption and prepare reports supporting future water forecasts.
• Support planning and design work for rehabilitation and replacement of transmission system equipment.

Qualifications and requirements

• The role requires 0 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• A diploma degree in a technical or relevant field is required.
• The operator must comply with applicable laws, rules, regulations, standards, and company procedures.
• The operator must be able to resolve complex issues escalated from the Central Control Room or Local Control Room without interrupting operations.

• The role is part of the Operations department supporting Central Control Room and Local Control Room coordination.
• The work involves compliance with safety, quality, environmental, health, security, risk, and cybersecurity-related requirements.
