About the Role
Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join their Enterprise Projects Team. You will lead business transformation through large-scale strategic initiatives, performing business process analysis, requirements elicitation, and stakeholder facilitation.

- Support project readiness activities including business process and workflow analysis, impact assessments, and eliciting requirements from multiple business lines.
- Develop requirements specifications for high level business, functional and acceptance criteria, produce business models, and participate in agile/waterfall development cycles.
- Assist in leading assessments to understand current and future state, assess risks, and communicate to all levels.
- Facilitate workshops for requirements development and clarification.
- Critically assess requirements, decisions, and risks throughout the project.
- Develop testing strategies using clear testing needs and acceptance criteria.
- Report on status, project metrics, and testing metrics.
- Liaise and coordinate with various project streams and stakeholders.
- Assume project management role when no assigned project manager, including creating project plans, managing resources, and monitoring performance.
- Guide business analysis approaches and governance to ensure business goals are achieved.
- Provide support to operational staff through coaching and mentoring.
- Help build business analysis skills throughout the organization through coaching and mentoring on best practices.
Requirements
- 8+ years of business analysis experience
- Financial services industry experience is an asset
- Experience supporting large scale business and technology transformation projects
- Experience with building analysis/models for project decision making
- Familiarity with financial industry software (Salesforce, Arcesium, SS&C, Simcorp, Eagle Accounting)
- Understanding of business analysis frameworks and project management life cycle
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in process mapping tool (Engage is an asset)
- CBAP or CCBA designation is an asset

Overview
- We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst for an existing vacancy on our Enterprise Projects Team.
- You will play a key role in business transformation by being part of large scale strategic initiatives across the organization.
- Our offices currently operate on a hybrid model with a combination of in office and remote working days throughout the week.
What You Will Do
- Support project readiness activities including business process and workflow analysis, impact assessments, and eliciting requirements from multiple business lines.
- Develop requirements specifications for high level business, functional and acceptance criteria, produce high level and detailed business models, and participate in both agile/waterfall development cycles.
- Assist in leading assessments to accurately understand current and future state, assess risks and communicate to all levels consistently.
- Facilitate workshops for requirements of development and clarification.
- Critically assess requirements, decisions, and risks throughout the project.
- Develop testing strategies using clear testing needs and acceptance criteria.
- Report in an organized fashion on status, project metrics, testing metrics.
- Liaise and coordinate with the various project streams under the program and associated stakeholders to ensure alignment.
- At times where there is no assigned project manager, you will be required to assume some project management role including the creation of project plans, managing resources, managing communication, and monitoring project performance.
- Guide the ongoing business analysis approaches and appropriate governance to ensure that business goals are achieved through various program streams.
- Provide support to operational staff on the project through coaching guiding and modeling key behaviors/strategies.
- Help build business analysis skills throughout the organization through ongoing coaching and mentoring on best practices and frameworks.
What You Bring
- 8+ years’ experience in business analysis, financial services industry experience is an asset.
- Experience supporting large scale business and technology transformation projects from initial concept through to implementation.
- Experience with building Analysis/models to help with project decision making.
- Preferably familiar with leading financial industry software Salesforce, Arcesium, SS&C, Simcorp, Eagle Accounting.
- Demonstrated understanding of the business analysis frameworks and project management life cycle.
- Possess a disciplined and consistent approach to business analysis.
- Known for building successful relationships at all levels.
- Passion for business analysis and a demonstrated knowledge of industry best practices.
- Critical thinker with the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources.
- Disciplined approach to problem solving.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Excellent proficiency in process mapping tool. Experience with Engage Process mapping tool is an asset.
Compensation
- The starting salary for this position is CAD 100,000 CAD 120,000.
- In addition, there is an annual performance bonus which contributes to the total compensation.
