Senior Broker Support Manager – Marine, Energy & Technical Lines

We are seeking an experienced Broker Support professional to join our Marine, Energy and Technical Lines team at Marsh Re in London. This is a hybrid role, with at least three days per week in the office.

This opportunity sits within a specialist placement team focused on the composite London market excess of loss and proportional treaty portfolio, with broader exposure across all types of reinsurance contract wordings. The role requires someone who can operate with a high degree of independence, support complex placement activity, and maintain consistently high standards of service for clients, brokers, and markets, while managing the composite BSS team.

Review client renewal information and identify key placement wording considerations. Manage the contract drafting process, including policy updates and production of final contract documentation.

Track the progress of assigned accounts and maintain accurate placement status.

Maintain core placement files, ensuring best-practice procedures and compliance requirements are fully evidenced.

Respond to client requests for information, including reinsurer data, financial reports, and market or industry issues.

Support onboarding activity for new clients and markets.

Manage compliance requirements, including sanctions referrals, third parties, AML, and ABC processes.

Monitor and report on business metrics.

Build strong working relationships with the Service Team and develop a broad understanding of accounting, claims, and proportional treaty administration.

Provide oversight of financial reporting submitted to the Senior Leadership Group and Chief Financial Officer.

Participate actively in team, client, and reinsurer meetings where required.

Significant experience in Marine reinsurance, with a strong grounding in broker support.

Experience working on reinsurance contract wordings.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize a varied workload effectively.

Strong attention to detail and a consistently accurate approach to work.

Confident communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across internal and external stakeholders.

A solid understanding of placement documentation, renewals, and market processes.

Demonstrable leadership experience, including managing and developing team members.

Exposure to fiduciary processes and/or financial reporting.

Experience handling complex placement activity with minimal supervision.

A proactive, commercially minded approach.
