Role overview
The Senior BIM Modeler will join WSP’s UK GCC Industry team and develop design drawings and BIM models for UK water-industry projects.
The role works with principal BIM modelers, senior design engineers, BIM coordinators, UK project managers, designers, engineers, architects, and clients.
Core responsibilities
- Produce high-quality 3D BIM models in Civil 3D, Revit, and Plant 3D.
- Perform 3D CAD modeling assignments with minimal supervision.
- Coordinate project information and produce drawings and models to client specifications.
- Convert hand sketches, BIM execution plans, and architectural drawings into layouts, drawings, and models.
- Assist with 2D plans, sections, 3D clips, and details from multidisciplinary 3D or 4D models.
- Export 3D geometry for subcontractors and external agencies.
Technical skills
- Use Revit to create and edit plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules, views, templates, families, parameters, and worksets.
- Perform clash detection with Navisworks and Revit, export clash reports, and review clash findings.
- Create dynamic blocks and use shading, conceptual, and other 3D representations.
- Apply Civil 3D, Revit, Plant 3D, AutoCAD, and BIM concepts to technical delivery.
