- Work closely with CAD/BIM manager and Design Leads to ensure project compliance with policies and processes
- Coordinate with different CAD teams to ensure design inputs and clashes are notified and deadlines met
- Develop engineering drawings from rough sketches and general engineering information according to standards
- Manage all BIM related activities from project start up to project completion
- Review each drawing for readability, presentation and adherence to standards in accordance with QA/QC process
- Create different types of parametric and non parametric families
- Produce scheduling and quantity extraction from the model
- Ensure proper documentation of all design changes, drawing revisions, and project updates
- Implement quality control processes to catch errors early
Requirements
- Experience as CAD/BIM professional in infrastructure design
- Understanding of BIM modeling process and ability to manage BIM activities
- Good knowledge in content creation and ability to create parametric and non parametric families
- Ability to produce scheduling and quantity extraction from the model
- Knowledge of QA/QC process for drawings

Job Description
- Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior BIM/CAD Technician to join our team! In this role you will get to involve as CAD / BIM professional in the creation, modification, and management of infrastructure design drawings and models.
- This role will focus on model preparation, clash rendition and resolution. You will support on various stages of submissions for both client and stakeholders while coordinating with various discipline teams within multiple infrastructure projects.
What You'll Be Doing
- Work closely with CAD / BIM manager and Design Leads to ensure the project’s compliance with the given policies and processes.
- Coordinate with different CAD teams, ensuring that the design inputs requirement and clashes are notified and deadlines are met.
- Utilize a CAD workstations, CAD resources and works with BIM lead, Design Leads and Engineers to develop engineering drawings.
- Understand BIM modeling process and able to manage all BIM related activities from project start up to project completion.
- Review each drawing for readability, presentation and adherence to standards, in accordance to company QA/QC process.
- Good knowledge in content creation and able to create different types of parametric and non parametric families.
- Able to produce scheduling and quantity extraction from the model.
- Ensure proper documentation of all design changes, drawing revisions, and project updates for future reference and auditing.
- Manage the digital archiving of completed project drawings and related documents.
- Maintain effective communication with Team Leads, engineers, and other departments to resolve any design related issues.
- Implement quality control processes to catch errors early in the design process.
- Customize CAD software and tools to optimize productivity and streamline design processes.
