Role Overview
Join an autonomous, experienced team responsible for core Nexthink product functionality.
Work on data pipelines that collect data from more than 25 million endpoints and transform it into actionable insights.
Collaborate with Endpoint engineers to build data collection features end to end.
Responsibilities
- Own components from requirements and design through implementation, validation, and deployment.
- Build a cloud platform using DevOps, CI/CD, automation, code quality, and maintainability practices.
- Partner with Product and engineering teams to deliver backend capabilities.
Qualifications
- Have 5 or more years of software engineering experience, ideally on backend or data-intensive systems.
- Bring strong Java and JVM knowledge, including Java 17 and 21.
- Understand concurrency, multithreading, thread safety, and concurrent data structures.
- Have experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems.
- Have strong SQL and experience with high-volume relational databases or data warehouses.
- Have hands-on Apache Kafka and Kafka Streams experience for high-throughput data pipelines.
- Have experience running services on AWS with monitoring, alerting, and operational best practices.
- Use strong automated unit and integration testing practices and focus on code quality.
- Have experience with agentic AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
- Be fluent in spoken and written English.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with DevOps, GitOps, and infrastructure as code such as FluxCD, Helm, or Kustomize.
- Experience with high-performance analytical databases such as ClickHouse.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as DataDog or Prometheus/Grafana.
