Renesas is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for its growing engineering team.
The role designs, implements, and maintains scalable backend services using Node.js, Fastify, and Python.
The engineer will build APIs, manage data flow, and improve backend reliability and performance.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js and Fastify.
- Write clean, efficient, and scalable JavaScript and Python code.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and product managers.
- Implement automated tests and troubleshoot production issues.
- Work with databases, messaging systems, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments.
- Participate in code reviews and share knowledge with team members.
Required skills
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript with Node.js and Fastify, and Python.
- Experience building APIs, microservices, and event-driven or distributed systems.
- Good understanding of REST, HTTP, and WebSockets.
- Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or Redis.
- Working knowledge of Docker, Git, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
