Role Overview

Employment and Schedule

• The employment type is full-time.
• The role may require flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or event-based schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead setup, operation, testing, and breakdown of professional AV equipment and systems.
• Configure and operate microphones, speakers, mixers, projectors, LED displays, cameras, lighting, video systems, and presentation equipment.
• Provide technical support for conferences, meetings, live events, corporate presentations, and hybrid events.
• Troubleshoot audio, video, signal, connectivity, and system-control issues.
• Perform inspections, testing, preventive maintenance, and system health checks.
• Support Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, and other meeting room technologies.
• Coordinate AV requirements with clients, event organizers, internal teams, and contractors.
• Recommend equipment, configurations, and technical solutions based on event requirements.
• Lead junior AV technicians during installations, events, and technical assignments.
• Maintain equipment records, inventories, configurations, maintenance, and service documentation.
• Handle, store, transport, and secure AV equipment properly.
• Support installation, commissioning, upgrades, and integration of new AV systems.

Additional Technical Duties

• Conduct technical testing and rehearsals before major events.
• Maintain setup procedures, troubleshooting guides, technical documentation, and system diagrams.
• Provide technical training and guidance to junior technicians and other users.
• Identify improvements to AV systems, workflows, service quality, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Audio Visual Technician, AV Technician, Senior AV Technician, or similar technical professional.
• Strong hands-on experience with professional audio, video, lighting, conferencing, and presentation systems.
• Knowledge of signal flow, cabling, connectivity, system configuration, and AV troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting live events, conferences, corporate meetings, or large-scale productions.
• Familiarity with video conferencing platforms, LED displays, projection systems, digital signage, and integrated AV systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills under pressure.
• Strong customer service, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation, system diagrams, equipment specifications, and setup plans.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading or mentoring junior AV technicians is preferred.
• Knowledge of AV control systems, DSP, Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, or similar platforms is an advantage.
• A diploma, technical certification, or bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
