Key Responsibilities
- Supervise architectural works for the renovation of a high-rise five-star hotel.
- Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, Saudi Building Code, and hotel operator standards.
- Review architectural shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, samples, and mockups.
- Supervise facade refurbishment, glazing replacement, waterproofing, building-envelope works, and external finishes.
- Coordinate architectural works with structural, interior design, MEP, fire, and life-safety systems.
- Resolve design clashes between existing building conditions and new architectural requirements.
- Monitor the quality of guestrooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and architectural finishes.
- Conduct site inspections and identify defective or non-compliant work.
- Lead architectural snagging, de-snagging, and final handover inspections.
- Coordinate with the client, hotel operator, designers, contractors, and specialist subcontractors.
- Monitor progress, architectural risks, and delays and submit regular reports to the Project Manager.
- Review architectural as-built drawings, warranties, and handover documents.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
- Valid Saudi Council of Engineers registration is mandatory.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in architectural construction supervision and design coordination.
- Proven experience in high-rise building projects.
- Strong experience in five-star hotels, luxury hospitality developments, or major hotel renovations.
- Experience with facade refurbishment, glazing, waterproofing, building-envelope systems, and high-quality finishes.
- Previous experience with an engineering consultancy or construction supervision consultant.
- Strong knowledge of the Saudi Building Code and relevant construction standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM coordination, and architectural document review.
- Experience coordinating architectural works with structural, MEP, and interior design disciplines.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory; Arabic is preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in the Madinah Central Area or a similar sensitive urban location is preferred.
