Core Responsibilities
- Review architectural and interior design shop drawings, materials, samples, mock-ups, and method statements for compliance with contract documents and design intent.
- Provide technical comments on finishes, façades, ceilings, partitions, joinery, doors, ironmongery, wet areas, furniture, wall finishes, and flooring.
- Inspect architectural and interior design works on site and advise the Resident Engineer on acceptance, rejection, or corrective actions.
- Coordinate architectural and interior design interfaces with structural, MEP, façade, authority, specialist subcontractor, and fit-out requirements.
- Review mock-ups and job standards for workmanship, materials, colour, texture, and detailing before bulk works proceed.
- Monitor contractor responses to comments and verify incorporation into revised submissions and site works.
- Advise on design discrepancies, missing details, site clashes, buildability concerns, RFIs, and required clarifications.
- Support progress and quality reporting, including risks related to long-lead finishes, samples, mock-ups, and approvals.
- Assist with snagging, de-snagging, and final architectural and interior design acceptance of completed areas.
Requirements
- Architectural and interior design technical review experience covering shop drawings, materials, mock-ups, and method statements.
- Knowledge of architectural and interior design elements, including finishes, façades, ceilings, partitions, joinery, doors, wet areas, and flooring.
- Ability to coordinate architectural and interior design interfaces with structural, MEP, façade, authority, specialist subcontractor, and fit-out requirements.
- Ability to assess workmanship, materials, colours, textures, and detailing against design intent and job standards.
