Overview
The Senior Analyst uses data science to solve supply chain challenges.
The role covers data analysis, descriptive through prescriptive modeling, scenario planning, automation, and project delivery.
The role includes mentoring junior analysts and operates on a 1:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. shift.
Key accountabilities
- Translate supply chain objectives into analytical scope, assess data feasibility, and define success criteria.
- Cleanse and explore data to identify trends and root causes.
- Develop statistical, optimization, or machine learning models.
- Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analysis.
- Manage moderately complex analytical projects independently.
- Improve modeling efficiency through automation and eliminate redundant workflows.
- Mentor analysts and validate analytical deliverables.
Supply chain domain expertise
- Plan activities include supply and production planning, capacity, demand, inventory, make-versus-buy, service-level optimization, and cost trade-offs.
- Source activities include procurement optimization, cost savings, supplier risk, sustainability, and carbon-footprint tracking.
- Manufacturing activities include performance improvement, waste reduction, failure-mode analysis, anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, and root-cause analysis.
