Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accounting Associate is responsible for handling daily accounting duties and providing administrative support for the Finance & Accounting Department, to ensure the accuracy of invoices, and related financial information are processed in compliance with the applicable tax laws, accepted accounting practices, rules, and regulations.
Organize invoices and supporting documents and proactively follow up with appropriate parties for information
Perform 3-way matching and validate payment authorization per updated Commitment Policy
Verify invoices and expense reports to ensure correct amount is calculated with proper sales taxes, discounts and debits/credits applied
Input invoices and expense reports in the system with complete and accurate details using correct GL accounts consistently
Process payments for assigned vendors per payment terms set up in the system
Analyze vendor accounts for accuracy and completeness, reconcile to daily receiving reports to identify discrepancies, and investigate if adjustments or accruals are required at period close
Prepare vendor statements and track outgoing payments and clearance as required
Review daily store sales records and reconcile daily store receipts to identify cash discrepancies with timely follow up with Store Cashier Head
Attend semi-annual store inventory audits and cash counts
Streamline the process and assist with internal & external audits as required
Perform any other duties as assigned
A bachelor's degree, diploma or equivalent, or other relevant qualification in Accounting

Minimum 1 year working experience in accounting or relevant area
Previous experience in handle large transaction records is required
Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Familiar with Macola 10 or other accounting system will be an asset
Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize different tasks as assigned
Strong analytical skills with ability to reconcile and identify discrepancies
Able to work in a fast-paced office environment with minimum supervision
Demonstrates a keen sense of urgency and commitment to follow up and meet multiple deadlines without compromising on work quality
Able to effectively communicate in written English
Able to communicate in Chinese (Cantonese / Mandarin) is considered an asset
5-day work week (Monday to Friday), 9:00am – 5:30pm (Actual working hours may vary slightly by department, depending on operational needs.)
