Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with a strong background in real estate and proven experience in the construction industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate financial reporting to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, local tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor project costing, revenue recognition, and expense allocations for construction and real estate projects.
- Coordinate and support external audits and liaise with auditors.
- Develop and implement internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to assist management in strategic planning.
- Oversee cash flow management and ensure efficient fund allocation across projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and other departments to ensure accurate financial tracking of construction activities.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff.
Qualification & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA, ACCA or equivalent certification preferred).
- 5–7 years of experience in accounting within the construction industry, with exposure to real estate projects.
- Strong knowledge of project accounting, cost control, and revenue recognition principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ERP systems, QuickBooks, or equivalent).
- Advanced MS Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in VAT filing and compliance in the UAE (or applicable region).
- Knowledge of real estate laws, RERA compliance, and escrow account management.
- Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
