Role Overview
The Senior Accountant is a full-time hybrid role based in Dubai with flexibility for partial work from home.
The role supports accounting operations and financial decision-making for production and corporate activities.
Accounting Operations
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger entries and account reconciliations.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closings.
- Prepare and review financial statements.
Planning and Controls
- Support budgeting and forecasting.
- Monitor cash flow and cost control related to productions and corporate activities.
- Maintain compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
- Coordinate with external auditors and finance partners.
Business Partnership
- Collaborate with production, operations, and leadership teams to provide financial insights for business decisions and strategic planning.
Core Qualifications
- Strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Experience with ERP or accounting software and advanced spreadsheet skills, such as Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations, with experience supporting audits.
Professional Qualifications
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across finance, production, and leadership teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in a senior accounting or similar role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in media, entertainment, or creative industries is preferred.
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is a strong advantage.
Work Arrangement
- The role is hybrid and allows partial work from home.
