- Lead month end and year end close processes
- Handle accounts payable/receivable
- Prepare and submit VAT and corporate tax returns

- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- Minimum 4 6 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a regulated financial services environment
- Part qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA, CMA)
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS
- Hands on experience with UAE VAT return preparation and submission, and familiarity with UAE Corporate Tax
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Xero) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Proven experience in managing month end close processes, including balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries
- Experience supporting annual external audits, including preparing audit schedules and responding to queries

Description
- Bytespark.ai is seeking a meticulous and technically proficient Senior Accountant on behalf of our client, a leading firm in the UAE's regulated financial services sector.
- This key role involves managing accurate financial records, leading month end and year end close processes, and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting in compliance with IFRS.
- You will be responsible for accounts payable/receivable, VAT and corporate tax submissions, and supporting external audits.
- This is a hands on, execution focused position with a clear career progression path to Finance Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4–6 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a regulated financial services environment.
- Part qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA, CMA).
- Strong working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Hands on experience with UAE VAT return preparation and submission, and familiarity with UAE Corporate Tax.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Xero) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Desirables
- Experience working within a DIFC or ADGM regulated financial services firm.
- Familiarity with financial regulatory reporting for DFSA, SCA, or ADGM.
- Exposure to fund accounting or asset management finance.
- Experience with treasury and cash flow forecasting.
- Knowledge of Islamic finance accounting standards (AAOIFI).
