Senior Accountant – Costing & Business Finance

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed costing models across receiving, QC, storage, picking, packing, labor, utilities, technology, delivery, rent, depreciation, and other warehouse costs.
• Calculate and monitor costs per inbound item, stored item or bin, outbound item, order, shipment, customer, and warehouse activity.
• Develop customer-level direct costs, cost-to-serve, resource consumption, contribution margin, and capacity analysis.
• Establish allocation methodologies for shared warehouse costs using relevant operational cost drivers.
• Measure warehouse productivity, including labor, packaging, bin utilization, throughput, courier cost, and capacity utilization.
• Reconcile labor data, operational output, and manpower costs across permanent, outsourced, and temporary labor.
• Build warehouse utilization and capacity models and quantify the financial impact of operational changes.
• Prepare weekly and monthly operational finance dashboards and variance analysis.
• Provide costing analysis for pricing, renewals, customer negotiations, and operational improvement initiatives.
• Validate assumptions against actual performance and improve data quality, controls, and reporting automation.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as CMA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent is preferred.
• Approximately 6-8 years of relevant experience in cost accounting or management accounting.

Skills and Competencies

• Experience in warehousing, logistics, fulfillment, manufacturing, FMCG, distribution, or another high-volume operational environment is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of activity-based costing, cost allocation, unit economics, and operational productivity measurement.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and strong financial modeling skills are required.
• Power BI or similar visualization experience is preferred.
• Experience with ERP or WMS systems and large operational datasets is advantageous.
• Strong business partnering skills and willingness to work closely with warehouse teams are expected.
