Role overview
The Senior Accountant oversees financial operations, reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
The role is focused on project accounting, cost control, and cash flow management in a fit-out and joinery business.
Financial management and reporting
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, labor laws, contracts, and financial policies.
- Manage the general ledger and prepare management reports, including project profitability, receivables, payables, and stock aging.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Arrange and control required insurance policies.
Project accounting and cost control
- Monitor materials, labor, subcontractor, and overhead costs for projects.
- Allocate costs to each project or job and compare budgets with actual costs.
- Work with estimators and project managers on financial alignment.
- Support job costing systems and work-in-progress calculations.
- Monitor factory analysis costing.
