Swap is looking for a Senior Accountant to build and scale finance operations. The role involves month-end close, reconciliations, tax compliance, and system improvements. Responsibilities
- Support month end accounting activities including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, journals, and reconciliations
- Prepare and post payroll journals across multiple legal entities and departments
- Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany balances, and key balance sheet accounts
- Maintain and improve month end close trackers, finance policies, and control documentation
- Support tax compliance activities including VAT reviews and preparation of draft VAT returns
- Contribute to system implementations and improvements, including NetSuite and automation initiatives
- Assist with annual audits and broader finance operations across multiple legal entities
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and increase efficiency through automation and AI
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally in a startup or fast paced environment
- Degree, accountancy qualification, or studying towards AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or similar
- Experience with accounting systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or similar
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets
- Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy
- Proactive, hands on approach with passion for problem solving and process improvement

About The Role
- We are looking for an Accountant to help build, scale, and strengthen a core part of Swap’s finance operations.
- Opportunity to work at the intersection of accounting, systems, controls, and automation.
- You will own day to day accounting activities, support month end close processes across multiple legal entities, and play a key role in introducing automation and AI driven efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities

What We'd Like to See
- 3–5+ years' experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally within a startup or fast paced environment.
